Personality: Serpentus is a bit of an introverted boy, quiet, sensitive, shy but just the more observant. He distrusts everyone and is a bit of a loner. He spends more time in the company of animals or books than with people. Because of the sorrowful way he grew up, he keeps his emotions save behind an imaginary stronghold. Serpentus is a boy who craves knowledge; therefore, he enjoys studying a lot and is usually very good at most subjects. He has been home taught by his father ever since he knew what a toddlers broom was and therefore arrived at Hogwarts well prepared. At home in a suburb of Manchester called Wolverhampten, he often spends time at the cemetery staring at his mother’s grave.

Physical
description: Serpentus is about 5ft tall, a normal size for a nearly 12 year old boy. He’s still very skinny, not particular athletic nor muscular. He appears much more delicate than he really is. His hair is black and long, his eyes fairly large and of a pale hazy blue colour sticking out of his pale face. Serpentus definitely is not bothered about fashion, his dress sense seems careless, like someone who’s mind is firmly fixed on something else. It isn’t often visible what exactly he is wearing because he prefers to run around in his Slytherin robe or other black cloaks firmly wrapped around himself. Notable though are his fingers, if one should linger on his appearance long enough, which look long and fine, as one would expect of those with an upper class upbringing. He has a scare across the bridge of his nose.

History/Family
background:
Serpentus is the only child of Widder Prinzen, an English pure-blood wizard of german descend (father german, mother English) who works at the department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophies and Hanna Prinzen (german, Maidenname: Morgenstern) from half-blood wizard-descent who turned out to be a Squib. Widder fell in love with her despite of it, but when his whole family turned against him and pretended not to know him any more, he was torn between his love for her and the need for his upper class life amongst his family. Widder always loved prestige, glamour, and fame, to be important, and everything that goes with it. Without his family, he was cut off from all of it and his frustration soon turned to rage and embarrassment. Rage-attacks made him torture his wife, and later his son also, with the crucio-curse. He forced Hanna to study all available Squid-magic-teachings and when she couldn’t do any of it, he punished her with torture. Serpentus was a weakly baby who never cried, which scared Hanna often, because she thought he had died a cot death. He grew up with the constant exposure to his father’s unscrupulous rage and frustrated temper-attacks. At one occasion his father struck such a fierce crucio, that he still carries the pain of it across the bridge of his nose in the shape of a scar, that ends right between his brows. Serpentus didn’t only suffer physical pain through such treatment, but also emotionally, because he so often had to watch his mother cry and crumble up in pain. He was very attached to his mother, whom he loved a lot. She was always affectionate to him, and talked to him a lot about things, Serpentus felt very secure with her, when his father was out. Serpentus was 7, when his mother died of wounds she had no strength left to recover from. Serpentus hated his father for it and swore to kill him one day when he was older and stronger, when he would have the necessary knowledge of spells.

Serpentus' Parents
Widder Prinzen
Hanna Prinzen-Morgenstern .
His own father had always been overly keen to teach him spells and
charms at home from an early age on to make sure, Serpentus wasn’t a
Squib as well. He wanted to have an outstanding son to be proud of, yet
failed to express love and affection. After Serpentus’ mother had died, Widder’s family agreed to give him another chance and accepted him and his son back into their family. From that day on, the tortures stopped. But despite his guilt and remorse over what happend, Widder still couldn't show much affection towards Serpentus, because the boys eyes reminded him of Hanna. |
