Distinguishin
features: Diabomble’s look like a 1 foot sized little devil with red-golden glowing skin. 2 black horns are growing on his forehead, his tail is thin and long. Diabombles are hermaphrodites, which means, they are both male and female and therefore one Diabomble alone can reproduce itself. But reproduction is only possible once a year. This birth or recreation of itself takes about one whole month for which it hides in a deep dark cave in the mountains. This reproductive phase is usually in September. It has been know that one or two Diabomble reproduced in November, but the young never survived the cold of winter. A Diabomble usually hibernates from December – February. Which means, there are 4 months in the year, where you can be sure to be save of this pest.

Nature: A
Diabomble isn’t really all that vicious, but much more mean and very
irksome, irritable, mischievous and utterly annoying.
You should be glad if you only find one of them in your home, if
more, your doomed, cause the house will be a wrack within a few days
should you not catch them. Normally
though, they live by themselves and keep to their territories.
Their mischief containts things like bad pranks of adolescents,
they cause much havock through accidents, they prepare by setting up
small traps or stumbling items. Very
rare cases are reported of the death of a wizard by the paws of such a
Diabomble, but one wizard once stumbled over a magic set of rolling
marbles, falling down the stairs and breaking his neck. Usually though,
wizards and witches get away with bruises or small broken limps that can
more or less be fixed easily. The most awful part is the constant hassle
they cause. They usually
make a deep, hollow, echoing growling and grunting sound to frighten
wizards. A
Diabomble sadly is most difficult to catch. They are incredibly fast and
wriggle out of your grip like a slippery fish. It difficult to get a
firm hold on them. At least 3 students would be needed if not more to
hold on to a Diabomble. Or
two adults. If you were so
lucky as to catch one make sure you have a save container to instantly
lock it up, because they bite awfully much, tread you with their feet,
struggle, pinch, jerk about if held.
Possible
mischief created by diabombles are: -
opening gates of stables to herds of domestic creatures, like f.e.
the Entelodont scaring the and thus causing a wild stampede of said
animals, that overrun children and destroy gardens and vegetable pads. -
Building small obstruction to cause wizards to fall in very
awkward or dangerous places (stairs, top of a high building,
at the trap-door to the cellar,
a pit..etc) -
Poking and pinching wizards in the night while they try to sleep,
so they wake up tired and exhausted, covered in bruises the next morning -
Untidies rooms with such speed, that the child of a wizard-family
is most definitely to be blamed. -
Throws sharp items and breaks things (vases, mirrors..etc) In general Diabomble have nothing else to do but cause bodily harm and environmental distruction (mainly within buildings)

Food: Diabomble
like to nibble on flames and ashes and therefore can be actually seen
when hanging around fire-places. They are said to have been seen to
nibbled on leather shoes as well with delight.

Special Magical features: When
they scurry around at night at the great speed they normally move, the
reddish-golden glow of their skin makes lovely patterns in the dark,
according to their movement, which looks rather pretty, not unlike a
lovely flickering flame. Use: Unfortunately there’s no special use for any part of the Diabomble’s body. Great Merlin must have created it just to punish us.
