Cats-Characters   

Me: Well,  now I’ll give you a short description of the characters of...

Tugger:        Hand me the mike (microphone) Darling

Me:  ah, yes....here we go again the 'my-site-bit'… well no problem but switch over to the keyboard

Tugger hits the keys: OK Babe! Lets do it alphabetically to avoid favoritismn right? Ok, let me think..A.. A…A… A like

                                                Alonzo:        

 He’s a grown up Tom, like me, with a lovely brown and white fur,  with a very stylish spot....oops..I was drifting off to the fashion-stuff a bit, right in the video of cats  his fur is black and white, don’t ask me why, London production too, but Alonzo takes his fair share in fighting Mac instead of me…I thought, give that Tom a chance to rise to fame!  He ‘s a bit of a quiet type I guess and I’m dead sure he’s keen on Dems..well, good taste old chap!  

                                   Asparagus/Growltiger                     

 We call him Gus for short, he’s an actors cat with a long history of fame at the theatre playing with all kind of famous human guys, he loves to tell us stories about it, and we love to listen of course. You can meet him in the pub, pay him a drink and he’ll talk, man, will he talk! His fave role was always Growltiger the notorious Pirate, so to show you what he means, we play a scene of it for you.  Gus is not very keen on the modern kinda training of the young theatre cats, thinks it stinks.  

                                         Bombalurina     

 Hot Red Stuff, to say the least. I like her , man! She’s hot, but I’m not going to fall all over her, I want to discover things for myself..She’s trying hard to make me weak. She’s a bit like me, flirting with the Toms, and they really go for her. She knows it, she’s one of the grown up queen as well, all the Toms fall for her, but I tell you she really wants only me. Watch her, she can’t keep her paws off me. She and Dems are rather close, I’m not keen when they go on about Mac, looks as if they think he’s cool after all.  

                                              Cassandra                                    

 Oh, yeah, Cassi, that's our sleek siamese. She's posh, if you know what I mean, putting on airs and graces a little. Misto usually wants her for his assistant, cause she’s soo mysterious. Tell you what, there's something not mysterious at all about her, Hah! She’s got the hots for me, too! Naturally.  

                                Coricopat and Tantomile       

 Wow! These two, they have to do things together all the time, don’t know how they can do it. I’d go nuts. They call it Synchronicity. Well, if they haven’t got anything else to do. But they are a mystical pair, they know when somethings about to happen. Feel when Big D is close. Now, they usually are a quiet pair…until..Tantomile spots me!! You’ll never believe what a tantrum she is capable off  when I do my bit. (at least in germany she does!)  

                                                  Demeter          

 Oh yes, pretty golden black sweetheart she is,  and a lot of trouble on our hand! I say, well, bless her, she’s been going out with Macavity! Well, he wasn’t treatin’ her too well, so she left him… should’a chosen me, I always say. She and Bomba are best mates. She’s a bit nervous calling Wolf all the time, thinking the bad Tom’s back. But otherwise a sexy queen. Like the way she does her bit with Bomba. Worth watching.  I always do, from my hidden spot….woohhh!!!!

                                              Grizzabella                          

 O-oh! Your asking me? Damn was I upset about her showing up in the middle of my song. Well, ok, at the end, but she spoilt it for me to get my applause. So understand. She’s a glamour girl, well, was…she’s one of the elder queens. Left the tribe to become a bit starlet. Well, guess there was a time, when no-one cared about her anymore, and  she wanted to come back home. Must have had it hard on the way, she looks really rough and tattered. Well, we don’t accept her at first but later she's the chosen one.

                                                  Jellylorum               

 Well our Jelli is a bit of a mothering type. Not as much as Jenny though, she can be quite different I say, when she puts on a show with Growltiger, playing Griddlebone, wowie!! She’s yellowy brown queen, and cares a lot for Gus, I think and why not. We all do need our little hanky-pankies, right?  

                              Jennyanydots  (The Gumbie Cat)         

MUUUMM!! uh...Jenny, well she's the kinda motherly type. Even I call her Nana, if no-one listens *chuckles*  she's the kinda Triabal Mum, you could say. She goes gooy over Bustopher! Well, there's Tom for every queen in our tribe. (and a lot of queens for ME!)  She's also called the Gumbie Cat and has a soft spot for mice and creepy-crawlies! Woah! your telling ME! It's odd! she's teaching them manners and stuff to do. I tell ya it's weird. But she is a cheerful, funny queen, with a lot of humour. Her fur is stripey as well as spotty. In fact...leopardspots like me! .....hang on..!!  that doesn't mean she is.....!!!!

                                            Mr. Mistoffelees                

 Misto my mate, he’s one of our younger grown ups, younger than me, but we’re great pals. He ‘s black as the night with a white bib on his chest. He’s rather a magical cat, he likes putting on a little magic show for us, conjures up the funniest things….listen to me tell his story.  He’s the one I call, when Big D’s kidnapped by Mac and his agents. He comes to bring light and confures him back. A very mytical cat. He may have a bit of a fondness for Vici I'd say.

                         Mungojerry and Rumpleteazer          

 Aaaah!! Great pair they are. Rather funny, calico cats. They are master thiefs and robbers and no bad acrobats.  They’ve been in the service of Mac before they came to stick around with us, and as a matter of fact, they may still work for  him but we like them well enough. Mungo’s not the tallest Tom but of medium built. And Rumple's a little Sweetheart. The colouring’s quite different in England and in Germany. Guess its one of Rumple’s tricks to clown about and fool us.

                  Munkustrap                  

 Our second on leadership. When Big D’s not about he’s taking control I dare say he’s doing a good job of it. That’s nothing for me, guys. I ‘d rather enjoy myself. He’s a grey tabby and sometimes a bit stuffy if you get my drift. But he’s a good guy, I like him quite well. He was doing a good bit of figthing against Mac and got hurt. In Germany, Alonzo does most of the fighting to save Demeter, though. But Munks can even be funny when he’s relaxed,  watch the Peke’s and Pollicle song he does and….he even agreed to play a pirate in Gus’ play… I say,  hilarious.

                                            Macavity                    

 Yeah, well, don’t know why they all go off so much about the guy.  He’s ginger with spikey hair, tall and thin and a master of crime. They kinda put him even with the “Godfather” and them kinda chaps. Ok, his crimes are no joke, and he’s a real clever bugger, never gets caught, you have to give him that. He’s got the hump cause Demeter left him so he thinks he can bother us all the time getting her back. But once he takes Big D. instead…Gee! Don’t know why he’s always got to turn up when I’m not around. I’d give him a bit of stuff to chew on.  *clenches fists*  yeah, he thinks he can scare us with his nasty laugh. I chuckle at it.

                                           Old Deuteronomy            

 Our DAD!!!! Big Dad! Big D!  Now he’s our real most respected Leader. He’s lived so many lives, he knows about everything. I suggest if you have problem, go talk to him. Though, I would know how to soothe you too. *smirks*  He’s a biiiig Daddy, definitely and had quite a few wives…well *hip-thrusts*  … you know what I mean, so he’s the Dad of many of our Jellicles. He’s calm and understanding, we all love him and look up to him like a King. Mac kidnapps him but trust our little black fellow (Misto) to conjure him back for us.

                                                    Plato                                 

 Well, maybe his names kinda suggest his character. Plato is quiet most of the time, stays in the background, possibly the philosophical type. He’s white with grey and rusty highlights. Noticible is the colouring of  his face. Nearly one whole side is grey.  He’s an adult Tom. Usually seen lazing about, but I have the feeling he’s pondering “I think therefore I am”. Hah!! caught you! you all thought I wouldn't know stuff like that? But I'm a crafty guy, I am!

                                                 Pouncival                

 The little devil. He’s one of the younger toms, a kitten, playful, restless always up to silly tricks esp. when Tumblebrutus is around the two of them go on a bit. A cheeky kitt’! in the video you’d think they are brothers. Pounz has a brown patch around the left eye, and Tumble on the right one. Pounz is a good one for fooling around and pouting when he’s been told off.  

                                                     Rumpuscat                              

Yeah, it's kinda our supertom, besides me, he's big and muscular and ....hairy!! Good sense of humor and he scares the pollicles in the park to death. If they start a racket again, he just needs to come along, yawn a bit, show his teeth, flash his eyes and off they go....those polls.  yeah! thats a similar  effect that I have on the queenie, but they come flocking around me instead. Hehehe!  I do prefer them to pollicles, I should say....wooaaah!   

                         Rum Tum Tugger       

        (what!!!!!!  are you haveing a problem with me sticking out here? who's page is it then, ey??)

MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! TA-TAAAA!!  Do I need to tell you about me????? Well, then, I’m a terrible handsome Tom, look at my mane!! Lovely, big, lots of hair! Gorgeous, even if I say so myself. I’m a great singer, hey, and dancer, watch my hip-sways and thrusts, it turns the whole of the queenies maaaad! To say the least. Can’t help being soo dashing. I’m a tall black tom with rather special leopardspots on my chest, wrists and ankles. I’m very self-confident and such a kind Tom, I do love the ladies quite a lot, always have a spare paw for them ready. Sometimes it’s difficult to decide which one to satisfy first. But hey, I’m a super stud, no prob for me! I draw all the females when I appear, just like a magnet, and the other Toms envy me! I’m cool, man, am I cool, and a rebel to rules. I say I do what the heck I like when I like, and why not. I like to play around a lot but, hey, I can be serious if I want to, saved Big D with my idea of calling Mr. Misto! Didn’t I?  Have the greatest respect for Big D. and no trouble to show it.

                                       Sillabub (Jemima)                           

 She’s a cute little red-white-black kitten,  like all the others, she’s crazy for me, and I just love flirting with her. She’s got a soft spot though for Griza, kinda taking her side, being a sensitive young queen. Her middlename is Jemima, or was it the other way round? Well in London they call her Jemima, otherwise known as Sillabub. Well, she’s got something I have to admit, that makes everyone get gooy over her.  

                                         Skimbleshanks         

 Our scottish Uncle, a ginger cat, well at least in England it’s known that he’s from the scots. He’s a jolly Tom but also very correct, works at the railway and takes his job serious. He’s looking after everyones need, though nothing really works properly without him. He's chasing us about as well to keep things in order.

                                            Tumblebrutus                               

There we go, he’s a similar playful kitten-tom  like Pouncival. Same kinda colouring and shape. He likes to fool around with Pounz. He’s rather a lively and tumble kinda kitten. A little acrobat charging around with wild flic-flacs, somersaults in the air and on the ground. In some sceneries his favorite hang-out is an old rusty bedstead where he likes to dangle from in all weird positions.

                                                    Victoria                  

 You’d notice her straight away, she’s the only pure white kitty. Very graceful and close to queenhood which she will reach at the jellicle ball. This is giving me ideas..*coughs* She’s dancing with Misto at the invitation for the ball, and she’s the one that gives Grizabella a chance right away. Without her, she may be still trying to change our minds.

 Well, that’s all of us then…now go and enjoy the show!!!  And don’t forget, look out for me!!!
