Wardrobe/Wig Crew

(played by Saffity)

Name:           Stacey Trenton

Age :               32

Country           Toronto, Canada

Physical Description:

Stacey is a woman who looks very young for her age. A woman who speaks clearly, even though she is deaf. She has long hair, laughs a lot and loves meeting new people. Since she speaks so clearly and can read lips extremely well, she hides her hearing aids with her long blond hair, and only uses her sign language when she needs clarification.

Personality:

Stacey is very sweet, very friendly and loves to laugh. She is embarrassed by her disability and sometimes seems like she has a big secret because of it. Even though she's worked on costumes in Toronto and Stratford in Canada, she will still let her superiors explain things and be very humbled when she gets compliments.

Background/family:

Stacey has a disease that has caused her progressive hearing loss. Her speech is so clear because she could hear clearly until she was 12. At 32 now she has lost so much hearing that hearing aids do almost nothing to help. Her mother was divorced by her father when Stacey was young, but they have remained on good terms and both support Stacey in any way possible. Their dream is to find a cure for their daughter's disease so that she can hear again. Stacey is an only child by her parents but has step siblings through her father who remarried when she was ten. She is currently single, but is happy in her situation and isn't actively looking for a relationship.

Qualifications and training:

Stacey graduated from Ryerson University in Toronto Canada from their costume design program. She took a minor in wig making and has worked for almost ten years with Stratford Festival and within Toronto's theatre district.

Theatre History:

After graduating from university, Stacey has bounced between Stratford and Toronto, working steadily between the two theatre hubs of Canada. She has joined the crew of Cats because she felt she needed a change of scenery and that Germany would be a good place to get it.

Playbill:

Having worked extensively in Toronto, Canada and with the Stratford Festival of Canada, Stacey is happy to now be bringing her knowledge and work to Germany and this wonderful cast of Cats. She greatly enjoys the new challenge of working with these very stylized costumes. Great love to Mom, Dad, Martha, Trevor, and Jen.
