Easy to get along with, he loves to get to know new people and enjoys social events. He also likes to read classic literature and going to the movies or chatting in the internet. His "darker side" is interested in mystic and gothic tales and he loves good, old Rock 'n' Roll!

Background/family:    

Simon is the first male in his family to pursuit an artistic career, while his mother and grandmothers work as voice teachers, singers and actresses. His father and his brother Pehr look after the family's own pub, which represents the Irish heritage coming from his mother's family. Simon grew up bilingual and is also fluent in German and other Scandinavian languages.

     

Dance/Vocal qualifications and training:

He received early education from his mother and grandmother, before he applied for performing arts classes at Stockholm University. To complete his training, Simon took dance lessons with numerous teachers and trained his singing skills in classic, jazz and pop style. He participated in workshops in London, Hamburg, Vienna and New York.

 

 

Theatre History:

Playing Nick Piazza in FAME marked Simon's professional debut just before he finished college. In Sweden, he appeared in Jonathan Larson's RENT as well as in MISS SAIGON, his first opportunity to understudy the main part of Chris. After moving to Germany, Simon played in JEKYLL & HYDE as Simon Stride among other parts, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, THE BEAUTIFUL GAME and understudy to the leading part in MOZART. He also was on tour with GREASE as Kenickie and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as Gaston. After finishing a vocal workshop in New York, Simon was hired as vocalist for Trans-Siberian Orchestra and featured in two concert tours of the band – BEETHOVEN'S LAST NIGHT as Young Beethoven and a Christmas Concert tour of the Heavy Metal-based band. Simon is especially proud of his experience in LES MISERABLES in Germany and in London, playing Grantaire and Enjolras in both occasions – it is his favourite musical of all time. Performing in WE WILL ROCK YOU in Zurich also meant a lot to him, because Queen has always been his favourite band.

Simon Larsson from Lund/Sweden is pleased to return to Germany for such a classic show as Cats! He comes straight from Zurich/Switzerland, where he played in the premiere of WE WILL ROCK YOU as Commander Khashoggi and Britney Spears. Other credits include Enjolras in LES MISERABLES (Germany / London), MOZART (Hamburg/Germany), RENT (Scandinavian Tour), understudied and played Chris in MISS SAIGON (Sweden), GREASE (tour), BEAUTY & THE BEAST (tour), FAME (Sweden). As singer and narrator, he toured the USA with the rock opera BEETHOVEN'S LAST NIGHT and Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas Concerts. Love goes out to his family and friends in Sweden.
