 Background/Family:  

Second child of Jean-Luc and Anna Crema.  Given private vocal lessons starting at age seven, and began singing publicly at age ten at various recitals and conferences.  After Mariette turned seventeen she moved to London with her big brother to try her luck on the London stage.  It was in London that she first met John Black who would eventually become her husband.   

Theatre History:  

 There is not much history in the theatre for Mariette, she took private lessons for ten years before moving to London where she began as a female swing for Cats, she then was upgraded to Sillabub for two seasons.  She next auditioned for the role of Christine with Phantom, after two successful seasons as Christine she returned to Cats as Grizabella while understudying JellyLorum for its final season.  

Playbill:   

 Mariette is happy to be returning to the stage after taking several months off to visit with her family and to finish up some extra vocal training. This is her third time performing in Cats, but the first stage outside of London.  She hopes to bring much happiness to those attending the performance.
