Physical Description:

Ludwig is about 5ft 11 1/2" and very particular and proud of this half inch. He's not particulary muscular, but slim and lean, though his liking for a pint of "Weißbier" down the "Wirtschaft" shows as the slightest of a soft buffer on his belly, causing lots of teasing by his family. His hair is brown and greying a little, his eyes a deep green and is usually wearing a pair of spectacles.

Personality:

Ludwig is a practical man, down to earth, loves nature and animals, music and the arts and enjoys a lot of DIY, though since his wife, a witch, entered his life, DIY had dramatically decreased. He's very caring and friendly always ready to help, but he often needs a bit of prodding to get him going. He enjoys his food and to keep himself fit rides his bike as often as he can even though his beloved wife-of-a-witch had given it a little magical boost to make it faster without more efford on his part.

History:

Ludwig was born on May 7th in Filderstadt near Stuttgart, in Germany to a couple of pure blood wizards called Ottilia and Wilhelm Lautenschlager. His father was a judge at the court house in Stuttgart and his mother a teacher of English and Music at secondary school now both retired. Ludwig was the last of 3 children, therefore the youngest, his sister Caroline is a year older than him and his brother James is the oldest of them at 47.

Ludwig was always a bit of a loner, just hanging around the house reading scrolls and books and documents. Even when he went to "Donner-Blitzburg Akademie der Hexerei und Magie" he was usually found settled firmly in an arm-chair in front of the fireplace reading. He was a brilliant scholar too. A bit of a swot. He had always learned easily and was very enthusiastic about it too. It was therefore no surprise that he met his wife Krimhield at the library of the same school. They had often studied there together and in his last year it just happend that they fell for each other.

Krimhield - a Gryffindor student - carried on to study music after school and became a very well known pianist in Germany.

Ludwig and Katharina got married about 1 year after they left school and soon produced their first offspring a beautiful baby boy they called Rainer and a few year later a baby girl they christened Fredericka.
